dark at Lyme Regis Museum this
Halloween.
A Spooktacular Night at the
Museum returns on Thursday 29
October, promising a familyfriendly fright fest like no other.
Step inside the historic museum
and prepare for a night packed
with Halloween thrills.
After dark, the museum will take
on a whole new atmosphere and
visitors can look forward to fossil
forensics, creepy crafts and spinetingling spooky stories.
Wander among the fossils and
exhibits by torchlight, as the
museum is transformed into a
shadowy world where the past
comes to life.
Spooky decorations inside the museum
Fancy dress is highly encouraged
and don’t forget to bring your
torch to help guide your way.
Tickets are now on sale at £6.50 and
spaces are limited, so booking early is
recommended.
With entry times from 6pm, this

Halloween Duck Race
VERYONE will be going a little bit quackers
E in Lyme Regis this Halloween for a
spooktacular duck race down the River Lym.
The yellow toy ducks will race down the river on
Saturday 31 October at midday.

each win £20,
and the last
duck home
The ducks will be released at Windsor Terrace,
before hurtling downstream in a mad paddle
towards the finish line at Jordan Flats.
With Halloween falling on race day, expect
plenty of quackers, creepy currents and a few
spooky surprises as the ducks battle their way
down the river.
There will be a host of cash prizes for the first,
second and third ducks over the finish line and a
bonus prize for the last duck that manages to
negotiate the river course.
The first duck across the finish line wins £100,

The organisers take their
environmental
responsibilities seriously,
with volunteers ensuring all
plastic ducks are captured in
a giant net just after the
finish line and stored until
they race again.
All proceeds raised go to
Lyme Heartbeat, a voluntary
group that installs and
maintains a network of 24
hour access defibrillators in
Lyme Regis and Charmouth.
