sporting greatness in our community.
The inaugural Sporting Lyme festival
has been hailed a success, launching in
May with an open day when sporting
organisations came together on

The Sporting Lyme Awards honour
outstanding achievements, dedicated
volunteers, inspiring coaches and

Nominations were invited in the
following categories: Team of the Year,
Sportsperson of the Year, Young
Sportsperson of the Year, Veteran
Sportsperson of the Year, Volunteer of
the Year, Coach/Manager of the Year
and Sporting Achievement of the Year.
More than 40 nominations were

The entries were judged by former
town clerk John Wright, Woodroffe
School headteacher Dan Watts, and
Lyme Regis vicar, the Rev Fi Budden.
All the nominees were invited to the
awards ceremony at Lyme Regis Golf
